Adieux

Peace, peace, he does not sleep
But now is free to fly.
Hush, hush, he dreams not deep
But now will touch the sky.
The path is laid in from of him,
The stars do light his way.
The road is calm, no noise, no din;
He starts a brand new day.
An angel waits on his right side,
A friend who’s always there
To keep him strong and be his guide
By showing love and care.
A gentle man on his left stands
All dressed in black and grey,
Smiles pleasantly, holds out his hand
And helps him on his way.
So really, he is not alone
And goodwill we will send,
For soon he will be going home
And in peace he’ll live again.
